Sanlúcar is primarily known as the place where one of the most exclusive (and most popular) wines of the region is grown: Manzanilla. The tour begins with a walking tour around Sanlúcar, with the Doñana National Park as a background, and the mouth of the Guadalquivir River. Afterwards, we will visit one of the wineries where Manzanilla is made, and a local guide will explain the characteristics and distinctive features of this wine. You can visit the Manzanilla Museum as well before enjoying a tasting of 4 of the different wines.
Before getting to Cadiz, we will stop for a bite to eat at the Puerto de Santa María. Located right on the Cadiz Bay at the mouth of the Guadalquivir River, you will enjoy a typical lunch in one of the most beautiful places in Cadiz.
The rest of the day is spent discovering the city of Cadiz. For more information about this part of the tour, check out the ‘Cadiz Walking Tour’.
This tour includes private transportation (quoted from and to Seville), entrance to the Manzanilla Wine Museum and the winery in Sanlucar, wine tastings (4 wines) and entrance tickets to the Cadiz Cathedral.
