Cádiz: Jérez Wine and Walking Tour

On this route you will get to know just how much Jerez has to offer. This is an overview tour that will introduce you to the “main dishes” of the city: Flamenco, Jerez wine, the dancing horses and the city of Jerez itself, where all of it takes place.

First we will take a panoramic visit around Jerez and then we will take you through the city’s streets where you can discover first hand jewels like the Alameda Vieja and the Alcázar, the Pescadería Vieja (the old fish market), and the squares that dot the city center and represent the social heartbeat of Jerez. Throughout this walking tour we will tell you the story of Jerez as well as the stories surrounding it, and its links to the horses, flamenco, and of course, wine.

Because if there is one thing that Jerez is known for above all other things it is the wine. That’s why on this route we will peek into the world of sherry and visit one of the most traditional sherry houses to see firsthand how this wine is made and to taste some of the best sherry wines.
