This day trip combines walking routes with a river route along the Ria de Arousa and the Ulla River, which commemorates the arrival of the body of St. James, martyred by Herod, from across the sea.
Additionally we will enjoy walking through some of different villages along the route:
- A stop at a town famous for its clam production. We will wait until the tide goes out to watch how the shellfish gatherers harvest the clams.
- A stop in the town of Padrón where we will visit St. James Church with the Pedron, a big stone where the Apostles tied the boat that carried St. James corpse. We will also visit El Carmen Convent, Santiaguiño Chapel and the church of Santa Maria Iria Flavia.
